How to Configure a Wireless Network Connection in Backtrack or KaliHow to Configure a Wireless Network Connection in Backtrack or Kali :- 

In my previous article i write about How To Fix Your Network Adapter For Backtrack or kali Linux. Today i am going to show you How to Configure a Wireless Network Connection in Backtrack or Kali. make sure your Alfa network adapter is connected with your virtualbox.

By default Virtual machine is taking a your wireless connection as a wired connection because you bridge your physical machine network adapter with wireless network adapter. so in this situation you need to be configure it.

On Backtrack :-

Open the terminal or enter the command iwconfig or ifconfig to find out the name of wireless interface.

now go to Application > Internet > Select the Wicd Network Manager

Now go to Preferences > Select General Settings > In wireless interface enter your Wireless interface name and click on OK.

Now it will show you all available wireless network.

click on the connect and enter your credentials. Now you are able to connect with your available wireless network.

On Kali :-

By default Wicd Network manager is not installed in Kali. So you need to install with

root@Kali:~#apt-get install wicd-gtk

Now you are able to access Wicd Network manager in Kali Linux

do the same steps that you done with backtrack.
