Recall or replace an email message that you sent

Recall or replace an email message that you sent

Recall or replace an email message that you sent ?

Suppose you send one email to your manager, now just you want to undo that sending email.

The recall feature in Microsoft Outlook tries to stop delivery and, optionally, replace an email message that you have already sent to another Microsoft Exchange Server user within your organization. Message recall is available after you click Send and then realize that you forgot to attach a file, include information in the message, or want to revise what was originally sent. You can’t recall messages sent to email addresses outside your organization.

Today i am going to show you How easily you can do this job in Outlook.

Open your message that you want to undo and select the More Move action tab and select the ” Recall this message

Replacement message :-

In addition to trying to recall a message, you can send a replacement message. For example, if you forgot to include an attachment, you can try to recall the message, and then send a replacement message that has the attachment. The original message is removed from the mailboxes of the recipients who have not yet opened it, and then is replaced with the updated message.

How Outlook’s Recall Feature Works ?

Microsoft Outlook only allows you to recall or retract messages in limited circumstances. You must be using a Microsoft Exchange email system, and you must be on the same Exchange server as the recipient.

Outlook’s recall feature works by sending a message to the other person’s inbox. The message asks their email client to please delete the email you just sent. By default, Outlook will delete the email message if they haven’t read it yet

If the person has already read your message, your message will not be erased but the recipient will be informed that you want to delete the message. If you send a particularly embarrassing email, both the email and the follow-up request to delete it may be visible in a person’s inbox. If your original email contained an amusing typo or error, the follow-up request to delete it may make the situation all the more amusing.
