Top 5 best VPNs to unlock Netflix in 2018

If you’re a Netflix fan there must be a time in your life when you would’ve used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access the content not available in your region. Two years ago, in 2016 Netflix decided to change the world of streaming forever and started to crack down VPNs.

Before that using VPN was a standard way to access the content provided in other regions but were locked in certain countries. It worked because the VPN allows you to change your IP address, making it look like you’re somewhere else (fake location). For example streamers from countries that has small Netflix libraries, like Thailand, could pretend to be in Japan, which has the largest number of Netflix titles available.

So what made Netflix change their game? Well Netflix pays licensing fees according to the region. So, when the users access the contents of a region without actually belonging to that particular region using a VPN, Netflix doesn’t pay the content owner their fees.

The fact that what algorithm Netflix uses to block VPNs is still a mystery and is up for debate. There are numerous possible ways that Netflix has used to crack down VPNs in the last two years. We still aren’t exactly sure that how it is done but if the Netflix itself tell is that how it is done, it would be much easier to figure it out. There are many guides available on the Internet which teach you How to fix Netflix Proxy Error since most articles available are outdated by now.

Do not worry because we have a list of top 5 VPNs that allows you to access Netflix content by region spoofing without it cracking down. Apart from providing the access to the unavailable content, these VPNs are reliable and have high privacy standards.

But when it comes to browser extenstion, PureVPN chrome extension do work as of July 11th.
