Why is it important to have an Unlocked iPhone

If you own an iPhone and you are looking to unlock your device, then you have come to the right place.

In this article — if the general method has failed you — we will look at different methods of how to unlock iPhone based on your carrier to find out the specific process for the unlocking.

Many people are searching for the Mi Account Unlock Tool so that they can bypass the MI account. Having an MI associated with your Xiomi phone allows you to access their cloud services where you can sync all your mobile phone data like contacts, audio, video, messages, notes, etc. Also, don’t forget to visit PremiumInfo – All Premium Tricks

The carriers that are discussed in this article include:

  • EE
  • Vodafone
  • Three
  • O2
  • Virgin Mobile
  • Tesco Mobile
  • Giffgaff

Now we will discuss each carrier one by one.

EE

In order to get your EE iPhone unlocked then you need to have an EE account for at least six months. The company will check whether your payments are up to date or not. If they are then EE will charge you only £8.99 to unlock your phone.

It will take up to 7 days to process your request.

However, if you are not the original buyer and have an iPhone which that is locked to EE, then it is going to be rather tricky.

You will then need to find out the name, EE phone number and some additional account information of the person who bought it from the company.

If you cannot arrange all the desired information, then you will have to ring the EE support and ask for an alternative solution.

Vodafone

Similar to EE, if you have the desired information at your disposal then you can simply fill out an online Vodafone online unlocking form.

The company will take less time compared to EE to process everything and within 48 hours, the customer care employee will contact you on your given number to further iron out the details.

According to Vodafone’s policy, it can take up to 10 days to unlock the phone. However, more often than not, they do it much quicker.

Three

If you have purchased your phone from Three after 1st January, 2014 then the company will automatically unlock your phone as soon as you connect to iTunes.

All the customers who have purchased it before the said date or, in other words, have an older version of iPhone then all they need to do is restore their device after connecting to iTunes.

Remember to back up your files and applications as the phone will be reset after restoring.

If the conventional method does not work then you can submit the online form.

O2

According to O2’s website, the company will charge Pay & Go customers £15 and they are only eligible to do so if they have been using the iPhone for over 12 months.

For those who aren’t a Pay & Go customer, you can fill out O2’s form instead.

Some sources claim that you can unlock the O2 locked phone by simply putting a non-O2 SIM. After that, the users are required to connect their phone to iTunes and their iPhone will be unlocked then.

Virgin Mobile

The company claims that all the iPhones purchased from them in the last couple of years are unlocked by default. However, some of the older versions might not be lucky enough.

If you can update your iPhone to iOS 8 or later then your phone will immediately be unlocked.

Not all the old variants of iPhone are capable of running the newer iOS versions i.e. iPhone 4. In order to unlock those phones, you will need to perform a complete restore and only then you will be able to unlock it.

Tesco Mobile

Tesco Mobile rewards its loyal customers and if you have been with the company for more than 12 months and have cleared out all your dues then you can unlock your phone by calling 0345 301 4455 for free.

Remember to choose ‘unlock your phone’ after dialing the number mentioned above.

Giffgaff

The company has developed a different landing page for all the customers aiming to unlock their iPhones. The neat feature about this is that Giffgaff has made things much simple; simply log on to the website, select your model which you want to unlock and follow the procedure mentioned on the website.

The problem is that if you do not have a working UK mobile network then you might not be able to unlock the phone.

In order to find that information, you will have to contact the customers support department.
